Our Services
ANTI-WRINKLE (DYSPORT)
-
Dysport is a prescription medication, used to temporarily relax facial muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles, such as frown lines between the eyebrows, or crows feet around the eyes. By relaxing these muscles, the skin can appear smoother, and portray a more youthful appearance. With results that can appear within just a few days and last up to four months, Dysport offers a quick, minimally invasive solution for a refreshed look. Ideal for those seeking a natural, softer appearance, Dysport is a trusted choice for subtle yet noticeable beauty enhancements. Dysport is a well researched, and well trusted treatment, which has been used extensively in the industry for over a decade. Dysport treatment can be tailored to specific treatment outcomes, allowing more movement in some areas, while less in others. This can be discussed during the initial assessment and consultation, and dosing then appropriately managed. Flora’s Aesthetics provides both “on-label” and “off-label” treatment indications for Dysport. To maintain high industry standards and abide by Medical Council regulation, we are unable to advertise “off-label” treatments on our website, but these can be discussed freely during the consultation process.
DERMAL FILLER
-
Dermal fillers are safe, non-surgical cosmetic treatments designed to restore volume, smooth fine lines, and enhance facial contours. Dermal fillers are made from Hyaluronic Acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the body. Hyaluronic Acid is responsible for keeping our skin hydrated, and plump. As we age, our body’s natural Hyaluronic Acid and Elastin production decreases, which then leads to volume loss, increased skin laxity, and dry, dehydrated skin. Fillers can restore this volume loss, but also plump lips, soften wrinkles, lift cheeks, and define the jawline. The results are immediate, natural-looking, and can last from several months to over a year, depending on the product used. When placed strategically and correctly, fillers are able to give a fresher and rejuvenated appearance, whilst still maintaining your own natural beauty. It is important to choose your injector wisely when it comes to filler, as there are limitations to what filler can achieve, and your injector must be realistic with you about these expectations, and also when to say “no”. Dermal fillers are widely studied and safe to use, with Hyaluronic Acid fillers being utilised in the industry for over 20 years. Hyaluronic Acid fillers are also able to be dissolved with the use of Hyaluronidase, either in emergency or elective situations. Ensuring a safe treatment for you as a patient.
BIO-REGENERATIVE TREATMENTS
-
Bio-Regenerative skin treatments harness the power of your body’s own natural healing processes to repair, rejuvenate, and revitalize your skin. These advanced therapies include Profhilo, Sunekos and Sculptra. These treatments are able to stimulate collagen and elastin production, and cell renewal to improve skin texture, hydration, volume, tone, and elasticity. Indicated for reducing fine lines, dull and dehydrated skin, scars, volume loss and uneven skin tone, bio-regenerative treatments offer a natural, science-backed approach to achieving radiant, youthful skin with long-lasting results. Bio-regenerative treatments are a great option for those who don’t want the volumising effect of a classic Hyaluronic Acid filler, but want to achieve a more refreshed appearance.

FAQ

Yes! Anti-wrinkle is a prescription medication, used to inhibit the contraction of facial muscles, therefore reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Dermal filler is used the replace volume loss and enhance areas of the face by adding volume.
-
Dermal filler is made from Hyaluronic Acid, which is a naturally occurring sugar molecule in our body. Hyaluronic Acid works to attract fluid to tissue, and can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. Dermal filler works to hydrate and volumise an area. Your body naturally breaks down the Hyaluronic Acid over time, and filler can be dissolved if needed.
-
Those who are pregnant or breast-feeding. Immunocompromised patients. Active infection anywhere in the body, you must be fit and well on the day of treatment. Known severe allergies to bee stings and/or local anaesthetic.
-
So long as you are over the age of 18, there is no right or wrong time to start injectable treatment. However, younger patients must be treated with caution. Changes in facial volume/shape are still happening in the early 20’s, and must be treated accordingly. Younger patients are on more of a preventative pathway with treatment, whereas more mature patient we are working to maintain and/or restore. Expectations for treatment will be discussed in the initial consultation.

This is so hard to answer, as every individuals pain tolerance is very different. And this can even fluctuate in the individual dependent on one’s menstrual cycle. Antiwrinkle is a relatively quick procedure, with small needles involved, and some would relate the pain to that of plucking an eyebrow. Dermal filler has local anaesthetic in the product, often patient will find the first injections slightly more uncomfortable, but as more product is used, the treatment becomes more comfortable. If pain is something you are nervous about, or you are needle-phobic, please let me know during the consultation so we can plan your care accordingly.

You are able to resume to your day to day activities after treatment with either antiwrinkle or dermal filler. Aftercare advice for both treatments is no makeup for 24 hours after treatment, no strenuous exercise for 24hrs, no alcohol for 24 hours, no excessive heat or sweating such as a sauna for 24 hours. There is likely to be swelling and bruising after dermal filler treatments, this is normal. It takes approximately 2-4 weeks for this to settle completely and the product to integrate. Some individuals may take longer than this, please bear this in mind when booking dermal filler around important events such as weddings, holidays, photography etc.

We recommend no alcohol for 24 hours prior to your appointment, to reduce the risk of bruising. You must be fit and well on the day of your appointment, please let us know if you are on a course of antibiotics, as we will need to reschedule your appointment.
